Baby Boy First Birthday

So here we are... The journey of my 1yo sushi roll!

Wow! A year already…. My, my, Roman, how you’ve grown!

Stefon and I have gotten plenty of questions asking us what were doing for Roman’s first birthday. We are doing, to us, what should be done….NOT a thing. We celebrated him with life and love and his favorite food, cajun chicken pasta and of course a mini cake. And guess what?!? My baby was perfectly okay with that.

You should’ve seen the looks in some peoples faces when I told them what were doing, or… what were not doing. Some gave us the ‘Im not judging but I’m judging you faces. That sour, struggled smile when you’re trying to hide the real you .

We left the over exaggerated, character themed, $100 cake, party supplies, streamers, and bloody mess in the past. We knew better from the unnecessary spending from our first born, Ezra’s, 1st birthday. We went all out and spent unthinkable money while he threw a tantrum in the corner because to him, it was nap time.

Now Im not saying that we did  it the right way, but we did it our way.

This little shrimp has brought so much joy to our family. The true definition of a sour patch kid. Literally, every time I see the commercial come on the TV, he is the little red one.

To my sweet, willful, curious, lively baby boy – I cannot wait to witness the magic you will put into this world.

    1. Thank you so much for that! Writing, i feel that my words will get misconstrued, so i love Hearing that I’m able to encourage others. Please do keep reading and letting me know your insight. Even if there are topics or ideas to focus on.

  2. So far so good. It is amazing seeing the growth in you. I’ve literally known you since elementary school and now look at us almost 30. You have such a beautiful family and your spirit was always pure and real. Transparency is what the world needs these days. Too many people are trying to pretend to be something they aren’t or even act a certain way they’ve never acted. Not you. You have always been you and I can’t wait to read more posts from you. I’m proud of who you have grown to be A mother and a wife? Yes you go lady and I am only sending pleasant praises your way.
